Misty has her Masters of Kinesiology and loves all things health and fitness. Yoga made small appearances in her life while training for endurance events over the last twenty years. She took classes as a way to get some stretching in but sessions were few and far between. After becoming a mom of two, running her own outdoor bootcamp business and continuing to pursue her competitive spirit in various fitness events, she finally realized how much more she needed to practice yoga regularly to help her slow down. When she found herself on her mat five and six times a week, she became mentally and physically stronger.
Soul Sweat became her sacred place to get lost but also find herself by relaxing her mind and challenging her body and soul. With each class taken, she walked out a better wife, mother, entrepreneur and overall individual. Yoga was no longer just stretching or holding poses but more so about the way we live our life and foster our relationships.
Misty took advantage of the 200hr RYT certification program through Soul Sweat with the desire to deepen her personal practice. During that time she made some major life changes as she resigned from leading her bootcamps after seven years to focus on being a full time personal assistant to her two daughters and to focus on the nutrition coaching aspect of her business. She shortly became an instructor at Soul Sweat and loves the opportunity to be a small part of YOUR day as you surrender on your mat and accept the benefits that yoga can provide.
