Madeleine’s yoga journey began as an outlet from the stresses of anesthesia graduate school. Throughout her schooling, she would utilize self-care Sundays at SSHY Community Class. Instantly, Madeleine began feeling the positive mental and physical effects of a regular practice. Since then, she has found her sense of home within the SSHY community. Yoga became not only a form of exercise for Madeleine, but also a way to clear her mind, stay in the present, and strengthen her soul. The difference she felt in herself was something she knew she needed to share with others, which led her to complete the 200-hour RYT with Melinda Nag at SSHY.
Madeleine graduated from West Virginia University in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. After working in a Trauma ICU, she set out to travel along the west coast as a Travel Nurse. Over time, she knew a higher education in anesthesia was her calling. Madeleine began the Nurse Anesthetist program at Texas Wesleyan University in Fort Worth and obtained her degree. She went on to pass her Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist boards in 2021.
When Madeleine isn’t flowing on her yoga mat, she enjoys outdoor activities, such as hiking, playing pickleball, and anything that involves her rescue pup, Jasper. She loves all animals and spends time volunteering and fostering at a local animal shelter. Madeleine loves a variety of music, ranging from The Beach Boys to Kygo. She enjoys reading a good motivational book, and propagating different types of plants to exchange with friends.
Madeleine is known for her bubbly personality and non-judgmental teaching style that focuses on proper alignment and moving with breath and intention. Her classes will be hot, sweaty, and a good time with upbeat music! She encourages growth of the physical and spiritual self, while finding ways to help her students feel confident through all stages of their practice.
