Lauren Kiser


Lauren is a lifelong equestrian. From a young age she was fascinated by horses and finally convinced her parents to let her enroll in her first horseback riding summer camp at age 8. From then, she was hooked. She has competed in eventing, hunters, jumpers, and finally settled on dressage. She earned her UDSF Bronze medal in 2019 on her retired Grand Prix show jumper turned dressage horse, Calvin Star. In 2021, she finished earned her last score at Prix St. George’s for her USDF Silver medal on her saint of a horse, Rouletto. This endeavor to earn her USDF Silver medal and starting to compete in the FEI levels, led her to yoga, in order to find better balance and stability in her body while riding. What began as an exercise in order to support her dressage career, quickly turned in to a passion and love for yoga. She enjoys how yoga connects people and is a physical, mental, and emotional practice of self exploration, understanding, growth, strength, and finding peace from within. In order to deeper her own practice and to learn more about the rich history of yoga, she began her yoga teacher training at Soul Sweat Hot Yoga in Fort Worth, Texas.
Lauren’s enjoys a power focused yoga practice that incorporates balancing series in order to challenge herself both physical and mentally. She tries to maintain a light hearted practice and she loves trying new poses, and new transitions, in order to try to grow into new abilities but also more importantly in order to keep a sense of exploration and curiosity on her mat. She loves sharing yoga with students through teaching, practice, and especially with the community at Soul Sweat.
When she’s not doing yoga or at the barn, Lauren volunteers her time with the National Model United Nations. She strongly believes in the power of international education and cooperation as the foundation for the generation of global leaders to build a more peaceful, and empathetic world. She loves spending time with her husband, Hunter, and their two rescue dogs, Pupper and Chewy. Her and Hunter love to try cooking new recipes, traveling, and exploring Fort Worth. She loves to crochet and knit and to try other creative outlets. In her professional life, she is a Project Manager for a renewable energy company. She is passionate about the energy transition and trying her best to have a positive impact on the environment and the communities in which her projects are located.
