Sabrina Garner

Sabrina grew up practicing ballet from age 5 to 18. During college, she developed a passion for weightlifting and strength training. After moving to Fort Worth from Oklahoma in 2020, she began focusing on strength and endurance training but noticed her flexibility and balance begin to fade away. Just over a year later, she decided she needed to reincorporate flexibility and mobility into her workout routine and was encouraged to try yoga at Soul Sweat by her bootcamp trainer, and now fellow yoga instructor, Misty Harris.

Initially, yoga was just a different type of workout that included stretching and mobility. However, as she continued her practice at Soul Sweat, she started understanding the benefits yoga can offer not only physically but mentally. Yoga offered her a place to disconnect and find stillness amongst the chaos. After attending multiple classes and workshops covering deeper yogic topics such as Chakras and meditation, her curiosity grew.

Sabrina decided to enroll in the 40-hour Aerial Yoga certification to deepen her understanding of yoga. After completing her Aerial certification, she was hooked and signed up for the next 200-hour RYT certification program offered at Soul Sweat. From here, she truly began to appreciate the multitude of benefits yoga offers—mentally, spiritually, and physically.
Sabrina always keeps herself busy. In her professional life, Sabrina works as a Chemical Engineer developing and optimizing chemical processes. When not at work or on her mat, you can find Sabrina traveling, practicing mixed martial arts, strength training, reading, or pursuing lifelong learning. Sabrina enjoys spending time with her partner, Long, and their two cats, Francium and Selenium, named after elements in the periodic table.

Sabrina’s goal when teaching a yoga class is to provide a safe yet stimulating environment for whatever the student needs at that moment. Her desire is for students to be comfortable yet challenged and motivated in their practice. Whether they need a space to rest and find comfort or wish to push their physical and mental capabilities, Sabrina hopes to offer a safe, inclusive space for everybody to grow their yoga practice
